The Jaguar XKR-S - expect a very similar nose across the XK for 2012
Yes, all the talk about Jaguar and the New York Motor show has been about the 2012 facelift for the Jaguar XF. And we know that will be happening, complete with the 2.2 litre entry-level diesel XF. But what we also seem to have is the arrival of 2012 Jaguar XK facelift, certainly if our sources are anything to go by.
The Ferrari F60America – just 10 being built
Ferrari has been selling cars in North America for 60 years, and to celebrate they’ve created a limited edition, open top Ferrari F12 that will be limited to just 10 units – the Ferrari F60America. Just as they did with previous North American special Ferraris – like the 1967 275 GTS4 NART Spider – the F60America is an open-top version of the Ferrari F12 with just a limited nod to practicality – you can only drive with the top up at speeds up to 80mph, which means you really need a ‘Sunshine State’ to properly enjoy the F60America. Powered by the same 730bhp insane V12 from the F12, the F60America has exactly the same 3.1 second 0-62mph but gets some new aluminium bodywork too with deep strakes, bigger winglets, extra holes in the bonnet, leather-clad rollover hoops and carbon fibre buttresses that flow over the rear deck.
Caterham Cars - China Bound
It’s quite an eventful time for car-making minnows Caterham – keepers of the Colin Chapman Flame- with a takeover at Caterham by Tony Fernades and Team Lotus only just complete, and now the news that Caterham are going to be selling cars in China from 2012. The takeover by Team Lotus has seen Caterham Cars’ profile on the international stage rise considerably as its logos appear on the Team Lotus F1 cars, which will do its prospects of selling Caterhams around the world no harm at all. Caterham has now signed an exclusive deal with Chinese importer Courtenay Trading International (CTI) who are aiming to appoint six retailers in key provinces of China over the next twelve months with a modest sales target of 50 cars in the first year.
